About Suzan

Suzan is passionate about sharing her work as she weaves her rich background in dance, tantra, and massage into her sessions. Her "barefoot" hospitality adds to the comfortable atmosphere. If you are curious to finally know what the "buzz" is regarding tantra, Suzan is willing to share her knowledge with guests in a light-hearted manner. There is no obligation to take on the Tantra philosophy as your own. If you want to investigate and explore, Suzan is available to share with you in her warm, friendly style.

Suzan says, "It's about open hearts and it's about open minds. It's about caring about one another and treating each other with courtesy and respect.''

Aqua Amour for Lovers is given with Suzan right there with guidance, support, and instruction. This is a gentle introduction to sensual touch that is effective, safe, and original. Her methods emphasize having fun while trying new approaches to touch, breath, and movement. Suzan takes a more western view of the tantric philosophy by using everyday language. She explains how tantra acknowledges that a current of energy runs through us all. Suzan's sessions are an exploration of that natural connection and flow of energy.

Training

Suzan has been facilitating aqua sessions since 2000. Her style has evolved over five years of working with clients from all over the tri-state are. It is a blend of 500 hours of certified aquatic bodywork classes, tantra workshops, and years of dance training including a summer workshop with Martha Graham.

Education

Suzan graduated with honors from the University of Washington in Communications while working in advertising in Seattle, Washington. She received a scholarship to study theater at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. She got the starring role in an American production at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. She went on to do voice-overs in Rome, Italy and then returned home to Seattle to complete her education. Upon graduation she landed a job at a cablevision company and created a news show re the arts and entertainment.

Experience

Suzan went on to create her own fashion designer business in New York City - Suzan Abbott, Inc. Her designs were sold in all the major stores in the U.S. -- Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom's, Bonwit Teller, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Her accessories were shown in the top fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Bride's, & Harper's Bazaar.

The fashion business was glamorous but did not possess that special meaning Suzan sought in her life. She opened Body Renewal Center, an alternative therapy spa, right in the heart of Manhattan. After fifteen years of helping others change their lifestyle to more healthy choices, she made a dramatic decision to move to her country home. Suzan loves being close to nature. Her furry angels, Foxy and Skippy, also enjoy the wide, open spaces. Suzan is happy to share her lifestyle with others and offers her hospitality as if you were visiting a best friend.
